The b.o.b. | Navigation

My artistic work utilizes ever-changing environments as methods of conceptual exploration, allowing the viewer to become an interactive medium as they begin to question scale, perspective, and material transformation. This process of understanding what one sees and what one defines as ‘real’, provides an opportunity to render nature as an abstract landscape, a space where materials can transform into something new or unrecognizable.

The environment in this piece was inspired by earth’s geologic layers and the realization that scale was an imaginable element to the work.

When viewing this piece, please ask yourself these questions:

What scale am I able to imagine?

How is time represented?

How would I navigate this terrain?

Materials: wood, stone, moss
